Home Made Cooking

Sunshine is good! Sunshine is happy! Sunshine is Vitamin D! Sunshine is BBQ!!!

How easy is it to just taking whatever you want to eat, put it on the BBQ rack and let it grill?

Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies

Cakes and Cookies

I’m sure most of you know Starbuck’s famous lemon-poppy seed loaf. I love that cake! It’s one of my favorites.
While organizing my spices I bumped into a bag of poppy seeds and so I decided to make the famous loaf. I looked through my recipes and couldn’t find it, but I was still determined I am going to make something of these poppy seeds. I couldn’t care less that it’s 10pm on a weekday. My mind was set.

So I brainstormed for a couple of minutes and then I decided I’d come up with a recipe of my own. A new one, that will give me a similar taste to the famous loaf in much less time. And this is how these cookies were born 🙂
They are really good, easy and fast to make and have that yummy lemony flavor combined with the poppy seeds. Simply great. Or as we say in Hebrew “Mashu-Mashu” 🙂

Cheese Omelet – A Square pocket omelet

Home Made Cooking

Is there anything more basic than an Omelet? Probably, but omelet is the easiest solution I know for lunch, breakfast and sometimes, even dinner.

I came home for a lunch break and had zero time to make some food before I leave back to work so I made myself a sandwich. But, how do you make an omelet that fits right between to slices of bread? You make it a square omelet of course. Read More

Ready to go BBQ Skewers – A Tip

Tips and News

I love barbequing! It’s so good and fast and easy!

We used to BBQ Hamburgers and Hot Dogs most of the time because they did not require advanced preparation.

When I had time, I thawed some Chicken thighs, cut into cubes, added spices and veggies, put on skewers and had a great feast when it was ready. But unfortunately most of the time I just don’t have the time for this whole process. Read More
