Seasoned Pita Bread – An upgraded Pita

Sometimes I just like surprising my family with an upgraded dish. Don’t be mistaken, it’s the same plain dish but it has a twist, an extra something, an upgrade. I love these upgrades because I usually end up with empty plates when traditionally I’d hear the same “this again?” rant. So yes – upgrades an creativity are definitely an asset when it comes to family life.

Here’s an upgrade to pita bread. You can use is with any pita bread you have, the only thing is that the time in the oven may vary based on the pita bread thickness

Ingredients: (for 2 pitas)

1 Pocket Pita Bread

2 tbsp Olive Oil

Za’atar

Salt

Directions:

**Preheat oven to 400F (200C)**

1. Divide pita into 2 slices (just open the pocket and divide into 2 pieces)

2. Pour 1 tbsp olive oil on each slice and spread with the back of a tbsp.

3. Sprinkle with Za’atar and salt.

4. Place in preheated oven for about 4-5 minutes.
