Broccoli Pasta with Garlic and Basil

Here’s an idea that saves me time and headaches every time I cannot think of something to make for dinner or lunch. I’ts simple, the ingredients can be easily switched and it’s healthy – Pasta with Broccoli.The only things you’ll need are olive oil, garlic, broccoli and pasta. First you cook the pasta as desired and cook the broccoli until it is just starting to soften (don;t over cook it or it will be much too soft).

You drain both.

On a frying pan, you pour some olive oil, and over medium heat you add salt, pepper, dry basil and 3-5 chopped garlic cloves. NOTE that you only need to heat it until the garlic cloves starts to change color, so about 30 seconds are enough – it’s a really fast process.

Turn heat off and pour the olive oil mix along with the cooked broccoli over the pasta and mix gently. That’s it!

It’s delicious! add some feta cheese or Parmesan and you’re all set.
